And, I would imagine, an absolute blast to drive. I had a chance to drive a buddy's C5 'Vette recently, and you're right, it's an awesome motor (his is a '99, which is an LS1, unless I'm mistaken). Combine it with the looks, fit and finish, and handling of the FD and you have what, to me, is pretty damn close to an ideal sports car. I know it's blasphemy to the rotary guys, and I dig the rotaries, too, but I think that swap would be real tempting to me if I had an FD and was having issues with the motor.
